The Music City Juneteenth Freedom Day 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for June 17-19, 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee. The event is the fourth annual edition and includes an in-person 5K run/walk at Shelby Park / Shelby Bottoms Greenway in East Nashville and a virtual participation option. The event will feature music from DJ 50Cyn. Organizers are The Timing Team and Training Ground.
Logistics and beneficiaries
Pre-race packet pickup is set for June 18, 2026 at Slim + Husky’s Pizza, 911 Buchanan St, Nashville. Race day packet pickup will be available the morning of the event. Awards will be given to the overall top three male and overall top three female finishers, and to each group. The shirt size guarantee applies only through June 1, 2026. The race lists three local nonprofit beneficiaries focused on youth literacy, health, and wellness: Bhegani Education Foundation, Ramsey’s Reach Foundation, and Transformation Life Center - Brown Boys Read.
