Event Overview
The Mushera-Boggeraghs is an open mountain race in Cork. It takes place on Sunday, 12th April 2026. There are two route distances: a long route of 10.80 km and a short route of 5.00 km.
Route Details
The race starts at the gates of Millstreet Country Park. Both distances initially head down the road towards St Johns Well. At approximately 500 meters, runners turn right onto a fire road.
At the 2.5 km point, the 5 km route splits off to the right, signed and marshaled, for a final climb to the Cairn and the Cross, followed by a descent to the finish.
The 10.80 km route continues onto open mountain terrain. The course features three wire step-overs at approximately 2.8 km, 4 km, and after a 2 km climb to the highest point at the Cairn. A 1 km out-and-back section starts at the Cross before the final 1.2 km descent to the finish line. The route is fully marked with flags.
