Clara Mountain Uphill

The event takes place on Wednesday, 15th April 2026 on Claragh Mountain in County Cork. It is part of the Munster Uphill League.

The course covers a distance of 3 km with an ascent of 337 m. The race is marked only at major junctions, and the use of GPS devices is not permitted. The event difficulty is rated as easy terrain, with less than 200 m of ascent and less than 6 km.

All participants must bring mandatory kit, which includes a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. The specific kit to be carried during the race will be confirmed on the day based on conditions. Random kit checks may be conducted.

Entry opens on Monday, 13th April 2026, and closes on race day. The entry fee is €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. There is an entry limit of 250 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
