Mt. Hillary
The Mt. Hillary race is a mountain running event located in County Cork, part of the Coillte Winter-Spring Trail League. The course is fully marked and utilizes a mix of forest roads and narrow paths. Participants should expect terrain that may be wet, slippery, and steep in certain sections.
Available distances for the event include:
- 10 km with an ascent of 320 meters
- 5 km short course
Registration and parking are situated at the Glen Theatre in Banteer. Because the race start is located approximately 1 km away from the registration area, participants must walk to the starting line via public roads. Parking is strictly prohibited at the race start location to ensure access for local farm machinery and lorries.
All participants are required to bring a mandatory kit consisting of a showerproof and windproof jacket. The final requirements for what must be carried during the run are determined on the day based on weather conditions. GPS devices are permitted for navigation assistance.
