About the race
The Murray Bridge Running Festival is held at Sturt Reserve, Murray Cods Drive, Murray Bridge. The event village sits on the lawn between the playground and the skate park, with the start line located next to the town’s Bunyip statue. Road closures affect Sturt Reserve and entry is via Sturt Reserve Drive near the corner of Jaensch Road; parking is available according to the event car park plan.
Distances offered in 2026:
- 21.1 km half marathon on a fully closed course
- 10 km run
- 5 km fun run/walk, themed as a Spooky Halloween event
The full marathon distance has been removed from the 2026 program because of construction works on the levee banks and is scheduled to return in 2027. Bib collection is available the day before at the Bridgeport Hotel and on race day at Sturt Reserve. Cut off paces and course maps are published for each distance. Aid station plans are provided for the half marathon and shorter courses. First Care Medical will provide on-site medical support. The event village includes a skate park and pump track, an undercover playground, a coffee van and post-race refreshments. Presentations and results are published after the race; presentations begin about thirty minutes after the overall third place finisher for each distance.
