Event overview

The Federation Ultra Trail is an annual trail running event held at Monarto Safari Park Visitor Centre, Monarto Road, Monarto SA, Australia. The 2026 edition is scheduled for August 9, 2026. The course uses the southern end of the Lavender/Federation Trail, running from Monarto Safari Park to the riverside trail head at Sturt Reserve in Murray Bridge. The event began in 2018 and has been part of the S.A. Five 50’s Ultra series since 2019. The event has raised in excess of AU$35,000 donated to Monarto Safari Park for endangered species protection. Course features and access

Participants gain access to Monarto Safari Park walking trails, with possible views of roaming wild African animals including meerkats, giraffe, bison, chimpanzees and rhinos.
