Murphy 15K, 10K & 5K : Murphy, Texas
The Murphy event is an annual road and trail running event held in Murphy, Texas, with both in-person and virtual options. The event offers multiple certified courses that showcase trails and local scenery in Collin County, including views of Murphy and Parker, Texas, and a route segment past Southfork Ranch.

All three in-person courses are USATF certified. The 15K distance replaced the half marathon after course restrictions in the City of Murphy eliminated the half marathon option; the change preserves a longer-distance option for participants.
The event is part of an AMPT multi-race series. Completing all six races in the series, in-person or virtual, qualifies a participant for an acrylic base to display that year’s medal collection.
Race entries receive event items while supplies last: a finisher medal and a gender-specific technical tank. The event benefits the Warrior Dog Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that transitions working K9s from operational service into retirement by providing mental and physical rehabilitation and rehoming options for Military Working Dogs, Contract Working Dogs, and law enforcement K9s.
