Munger Spud Run
The Munger Spud Run is a community event held on August 1, 2026, in Munger, Michigan. The event features a 5K run and walk on a largely flat course made up mostly of country roads, including a lap around the Potato Festival fairgrounds.
The registration table is located inside the Munger Volunteer Firemen Corp. Schoolhouse Hall on Tweet Drive, off Finn Road, at the southeast corner of the fairgrounds. Race day registration is available for $35 and runs from 8:00 to 8:45 a.m. A t-shirt cannot be guaranteed for day-of or late registrants. Awards are planned to be presented in the kids day tent at approximately 11:00 a.m.
Parking is available in the fire department parking lot on Munger Road and in the free parking lot on Finn Road. The event is sponsored by Frankenmuth Credit Union and the Munger Volunteer Firemen. Timing services are provided by Miller Race Management.
The run takes place alongside the Munger Potato Festival, which offers additional festival events, rides, and food at the fairgrounds after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
