Mullets & Mustaches Run
The Mullets & Mustaches Run is an inaugural event held at the Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. This event focuses on raising awareness for men's health through a community gathering that includes professional timing and various race formats. Participants are encouraged to wear themed accessories to support the cause.
The event offers several distinct distances and activities:
- Chip Timed 5K: A standard distance race with professional timing.
- 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run: A shorter course for individuals and families.
- Chip Timed Pizza Mile: A challenge involving four slices of pizza and four quarter-mile loops.
The Pizza Mile, hosted in partnership with Grimaldi's Pizzeria, requires participants to eat one small slice of pizza before running each of the four quarter-mile laps. Following the races, a post-race party takes place at the pizzeria featuring food and drink specials.
All registered participants receive a custom trucker hat, a mullet or mustache accessory, and a commemorative finisher medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and Pizza Mile, as well as the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Bell Tower on the day before the race and the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
