All participants are required to start with a working headlamp or flashlight that will last the entire race; lights are checked at bib pick-up and per park safety protocol no light means no start. Aid stations are located at mile 1.5 and mile 3.1 (turnaround). Sweepers run ahead, mid-pack, and behind the field. Medical support is available at the start/finish area and at the aid stations.
Facilities include porta-potties at the start/finish and packet pick-up at the trailhead. All finishers receive a medal and a race shirt to pick up at the finish. The event follows a leave-no-trace approach: participants should pack out trash or use bins at the start/finish. Registration periods include staged price increases on September 1 and October 1; listed prices include taxes and processing fees. Registration closes on November 5.
