MuleSkinner Endurance Races : Upper Black Eddy, PA
The MuleSkinner Endurance Races are a set of trail events held on the canal towpath in Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania. The course follows largely nontechnical towpath terrain and offers extended views along the river. Organizers plan to run the main course on the Pennsylvania side in 2026, with a possible alternative hybrid route using both New Jersey and Pennsylvania towpaths.

Aid stations are described as well stocked. Finishers who complete their distance within the allotted finish windows receive a custom MuleSkinner medal and a technical running shirt. Top three men and top three women at each distance receive separate awards. The last finisher of the 50 mile who meets the finish window receives a named award.
Registration opens May 29 and closes in September. A range of registration fees is listed in U.S. dollars. Spirit Trips organizes the event. Local lodging options include bed and breakfasts and short term rentals in nearby towns such as Frenchtown, New Hope, and Doylestown. Tent camping is available the night before at Tinicum Park, with sites located about 100 yards from the start and finish area.
The races support local nonprofit canal and corridor preservation efforts; a portion of registration fees is donated to these organizations. Volunteers receive race credit for future registrations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
