Muddy Crudd's Ultra Trail Party takes place in Valley, Alabama, near the Shawmut Airport. The event features a course laid out along the banks of the Chattahoochee River, providing a trail running environment for all participants. Course and Participation
The event is designed as a no-DNF (Did Not Finish) race. Participants who complete at least one 5K loop receive a recorded finish. The site features a full aid station supported by volunteers with experience in ultra-distance running. The 5K route follows the river and is open to both runners and walkers.
For the 12HR event, a cash prize of $100 is awarded to any participant who sets a new course record. The current record for this distance stands at 58 miles.
Awards and Amenities
Each participant who completes their chosen distance or time receives a unique finisher award. Overall male and female winners receive specialized awards, which traditionally include homemade bread. Participants who register by the specified deadline in early May are guaranteed an event shirt. The Ice Cream Mile is a separate activity where runners consume a treat at the start and at each quarter-mile interval of the one-mile course.
