Mud, Sweat & Blooms 5K Mud Run at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm
The event is a 3.1 mile course with between 12 and 20 obstacles held on the grounds of Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm during the Summer Flower Festival. Course features include a splash through ponds, a hay bale hurdle, an over-under obstacle using irrigation pipe, a ravine hill section, and a slip and slide that doubles as a rinse after muddy sections. If a participant is unable to complete an obstacle, bypassing that obstacle is permitted.
The run is self timed and there will be clocks visible at the start and finish lines. The event is dog friendly. After the run there is a kids play area and access to the Summer Flower Festival at Wooden Shoe Farms, with views overlooking the Willamette Valley and onsite beverage options such as wine, beer and cider.
Proceeds from the event support the charitable work of Woodburn Rotary and the Woodburn Rotary Foundation. Beneficiary activities cited include support for local families, the Boys and Girls Club, park projects, dental clinics for uninsured children, and international medical programs.
