The full marathon starts at Mud Mountain Dam at approximately 1,400 feet and follows a fully paved downhill route through farmland and forest alongside the Carbon River, finishing at about 128 feet. The course has a net elevation loss of about 1,200 feet. The route has no tunnel, no dirt sections, and the event notes no Boston Marathon qualifying downhill penalty.
The half marathon begins in the town of South Prairie at about 467 feet and follows the paved Foothills Rail Trail to the same finish at approximately 128 feet, with a net elevation loss of 339 feet.
The finish area includes a brewhouse, food trucks, and hot and cold plunge pools near the McMillin Farm Collective. Registration for the listed events opens October 15, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026. Listed registration fees are $100.00 for the full marathon and $90.00 for the half marathon.
