Mud Mountain Dam Marathon and Half Marathon

The Mud Mountain Dam Marathon and Half Marathon is held in Enumclaw and the surrounding areas of Washington. The event features two primary distances:

  • 26.2 Miles
  • 13.1 Miles

The 26.2 Miles course begins at Mud Mountain Dam at an elevation of 1,400 feet. The route is fully paved and does not include any tunnels or dirt sections. Participants travel through a combination of farmlands and forested areas while following the Carbon River. This marathon distance is designated as a Boston Qualifier.

The 13.1 Miles course starts in the town of South Prairie at an elevation of 467 feet. This route follows the Foothills Rail Trail and is also fully paved. Like the full marathon, this course passes through scenery consisting of forest and farm landscapes along the Carbon River. The half marathon finishes at the McMillin Bridge at an elevation of 128 feet. The course is a gradual downhill with a total net elevation loss of 339 feet.
