Event details
The Freedom 50 is an ultramarathon event held in Puyallup, Washington on Saturday, May 23, 2026. It offers two distances:
- 50 Mile - 50 miles along the Foothills Trail from downtown Puyallup toward the edge of Enumclaw.
- 50k - 31 miles following the same general route toward South Prairie.
The event starts and finishes at Diamond Detail, 412 E Main Ave, Puyallup, WA 98372. Registration closes on Wednesday, May 20 at 11:59 PM PT. Packet pickup is on race day only at Diamond Detail. The race has a 15 hour cutoff for completion.
Course and support
The course is mostly paved and uses the Foothills Trail, with short sections on the Puyallup Riverwalk trail and a small amount on connecting shoulders and sidewalks. The 50-mile course includes passage over the White River bridge. The halfway aid station for the 50-mile distance is at the Veteran’s Memorial Monument adjacent to 251 S River Rd, Buckley, WA (mile 25).
Aid station setup:
- 50-mile course: eight aid stations plus a final aid at the finish.
- 50k course: two aid stations on the outbound leg and two on the return.
