The Freedom 50
The Freedom 50 is an ultramarathon event in Puyallup, WA, offering two distance options on a mostly paved out and back course along the Foothills Trail. The start and finish are at Diamond Detail in downtown Puyallup, and the course includes sections on the Puyallup Riverwalk and short stretches on connecting shoulders and sidewalks.
The route is largely flat with a very gradual incline on the outbound half and a gentle decline on the return. The 50 mile turnaround and final outbound aid station is at the Veterans Monument in Buckley Memorial Park, located near 251 S River Rd in Buckley at approximately mile 25. Aid stations are located in McMillin, Crocker, South Prairie and Buckley.
Race services and times: the event uses fully supported aid stations, a 15 hour cutoff to complete the course, and on-course support varies by distance. Entry pricing is listed in USD and ranged between 189.87 and 215.43 in the published offers.
Event extras and sponsor benefits include a $110 gift certificate from Diamond Detail for each entrant, one month free unlimited Crossfit Puyallup classes for each entrant, a custom cast finisher medal for all finishers, and free entry to the next edition for the top three finishers.
