Event details

The Freedom 50 takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Puyallup, Washington. The race starts and finishes at Diamond Detail, 412 E Main Ave, Puyallup. Registration closes Wednesday, May 20 at 11:59 PM PT. Packet pickup is race-day only at Diamond Detail. The event has a 15 hour cutoff time.

Courses and aid stations

  • 50 Mile - 50 miles along the Foothills Trail, includes the White River bridge.
  • 50k - 31 miles along the Foothills Trail, out-and-back format.

The route runs mostly on the paved Foothills Trail, with short sections on the Puyallup Riverwalk trail and on connecting shoulders or sidewalks. The 50 mile course uses eight aid stations on course plus a final station at the finish; the final aid station on the outward leg is at the Veterans Memorial Monument in Memorial Park, Buckley (mile 25). The 50k course has two stocked aid stations on the way out and two on the way back.

Aid station locations include McMillin, Crocker, South Prairie and Buckley. Sponsors listed for the event include Diamond Detail, Crossfit Puyallup and Tacoma Trophy. The organizer states that each runner will receive a $110 Diamond Detail gift certificate, one month free at Crossfit Puyallup, and a custom cast finisher's medal for finishers; early registrants may receive a race T-shirt.
