Entry, route and rules

Entry fees are listed as £90 for the standard entry and £155 for the Plus Race Package, which includes a race shirt and lightweight hi-viz jacket if ordered at least four weeks before the event. All entries and payments are non-refundable. The organiser provides race mapping and GPX files to entrants by email about four weeks before the race and issues tracking devices with SOS buttons for real-time monitoring.

The route uses fixed check points (examples: Bankfoot at ~8 miles, Dunkeld at ~16.4 miles, Pitlochry at ~24.3 miles) and has preset cut-offs based on a minimum average speed of 4 mph; competitors who fall below this requirement may be withdrawn. The event is cup-free; competitors should bring a reusable cup. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food. Entrants must be 20 years or over on the race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
