MTC Green Skin - Ultra Running
The MTC Green Skin is a single-day ultra held as part of the Mount to Coast End to End Challenge Series and is scheduled as day 7 of the MTC ALBION thirteen-day series. The race route follows the same course used by the MTC JOGLE events but with reduced daily distances. The route runs from Kidderminster to Tewkesbury, starting at the Talbot Hotel and finishing at the Tudor House Hotel. The advertised distance is approximately 36 miles (route total listed as 35.5 miles).
Entry is limited: 20 places for Green Skin plus an additional allowance of 20 for ALBION competitors, giving a maximum of 40 starters. All finishers receive a Green Skin medal; male and female champions will also receive bespoke trophies. Competitors may upgrade their entry to include an embroidered race shirt and a lightweight hi-viz jacket if selected at entry and ordered at least four weeks before the event.
The race enforces a minimum average speed of 4 mph; competitors falling below this threshold may be warned and withdrawn. It is a cup-free event so entrants must use their own reusable cup. Maps and GPX files, plus real-time tracking, are provided to entrants only; tracking devices with SOS functionality are issued to competitors. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, provided route maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, and a basic first aid kit.
