MTC Green Skin
The MTC Green Skin is a single day ultra running race in the Mount to Coast series. It forms Day 7 of the MTC Albion end to end of England and covers about 36 miles on the route used by the MTC JOGLE event but with reduced daily distances. Competitors on the Green Skin may be running alongside MTC Albion entrants.
The route runs from the Talbot Hotel in Kidderminster to the Tudor House Hotel in Tewkesbury. Intermediate checkpoints are listed on the route: Great Witley at about 9.7 miles, Hallow at about 17.6 miles, and The Tything at about 25.9 miles, with a total route distance given as 35.5 to 36 miles in the event information.
Entries are limited to 20 Green Skin competitors plus an allowance of 20 Albion competitors, making a maximum of 40 race numbers. All entrants must be 20 years or over on the race day. The organisers apply preset cut off rules based on a minimum average of 4.0 mph; competitors who fall below that average may be withdrawn.
Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants and emailed approximately four weeks before the event. The organiser issues tracking devices with SOS capability for real time monitoring. The race is cup free so competitors should bring a reusable cup. Finishers receive a Green Skin medal and male and female champions receive bespoke trophies.
