MTC Green Skin
The MTC Green Skin is a single day ultra run scheduled for 16 July 2029. It forms Day 7 of the Mount to Coast Albion end to end of England and follows the same general route used in the MTC JOGLE event but with reduced daily distances. The published total distance is 35.5 miles.
The route runs from Kidderminster to Tewkesbury, starting at The Talbot Hotel (DY14 8DQ) and finishing at The Tudor House Hotel (GL20 5BH). There are three intermediate checkpoints at roughly 9.7 miles, 17.6 miles and 25.9 miles. Checkpoints provide food such as malt loaf, sandwiches, sweets, squash, cola and water. The event is cup free so competitors should bring a reusable cup.
Entry is limited to 20 race places plus an additional allowance of 20 for ALBION competitors, for a maximum of 40 entrants. Entry fees are listed as £90 for the ultra and £155 for the plus race package, which includes an embroidered race shirt and a lightweight hi viz jacket. All payments are non refundable and there is an option to add personal cancellation insurance at checkout.
Organisers operate preset cut offs based on a minimum average speed of 4.0 mph; competitors who fall below this threshold may be withdrawn. Maps and GPX files are provided to entrants only, and each competitor receives a tracking device with an SOS function. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, route maps, compass or GPS, whistle, mobile phone, basic first aid and emergency food.
