MTC Aquathlon Series
The MTC Aquathlon Series consists of five races held on Tuesday evenings at Sale Water Park. The events utilize the facilities at the Trafford Water Sports Centre, providing a course layout designed for straightforward competition. Participants swim and run within the park grounds, with courses structured into laps for both disciplines.
The event offers two primary distance options based on age groups:
- 800m swim and 5km run (Adults and those aged 15 and over)
- 400m swim and 2.5km run (TriStar 3 and Youths)
The 800m swim is composed of two laps, followed by a 5km run which also consists of two laps. Junior participants complete one lap for each section, resulting in a 400m swim and a 2.5km run.
The venue is located at Sale Water Park (M33 2LX). Parking is available on-site outside the boathouse restaurant. For those using public transport, the Sale Water Park Metrolink stop is located a short distance from the race venue.
Registration takes place at the venue. Participants who are British Triathlon members must present a valid race license; those without a license are required to obtain a British Triathlon Race Pass.
