Event Details
The MTC Aibell is a 27.5-mile ultra marathon. It serves as the final day (Day 14) of the 14-day MTC MizMal® multi-stage race, which is an end-to-end challenge of Ireland. The route primarily follows the MizMal® cycling route developed by Wild Atlantic Cycling. It starts at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel and finishes at Malin Head.

The event has a minimum speed requirement of 4 mph. Participants falling below this pace on consecutive days of the multi-stage challenge will be withdrawn. The race is cup-free, requiring runners to bring their own reusable cup.
Logistics & Requirements
Checkpoints are provided along the route. Mandatory kit includes a backpack, head torch with spare batteries, supplied maps, compass or GPS device, whistle, mobile phone, and a basic first aid kit. A tracking device with an SOS button is provided to each competitor. Finishers receive a bespoke Aibell medal, and male and female champions receive a trophy.
