Derry/Londonderry to Belfast 75 mile 2027
This event is a 75 mile road race between Derry/Londonderry and Belfast held on 10 April 2027. The route is entirely on roads and footpaths with no trail or off road sections. Participants follow the course by GPS and a downloadable set of route instructions; organisers will not place additional arrows or signs along the route.
The planned course avoids the direct route up the Glenshane Pass and avoids major roads where possible. Most sections have footpaths or hard shoulders, with a few minor country roads lacking these features. The full route will be published after registration and may be updated if necessary.
Runners are allowed up to 24 hours to complete the 75 mile option. Participants may run with a crew or without one. There will be a minimum of three aid stations or checkpoints and participants will be tracked with a race tracker. A bag will be transported from the start to the finish but it will not be accessible during the race.
All entrants must carry mandatory kit at all times and must wear high visibility clothing while running. At night a tail light is required. Mandatory kit includes a high visibility vest, head torch, tail light, waterproof jacket, gloves, hat or buff, and a warm base layer. Competitors are responsible for carrying enough water and food to reach each aid station.
Entry fee for the 75 mile option is £99 and the fee includes a race tracker, medical services, a bespoke finisher medal, a T shirt, three outdoor aid stations and post race refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
