Mt Pleasant Sizzlin' Summer 5K
The Mt Pleasant Sizzlin' Summer 5K is the second annual, Wednesday evening 5K held in downtown Mount Pleasant, Michigan on June 24, 2026. The course is described as accurate and scenic, running through the parks of downtown and using a start/finish pavilion located near the volleyball courts.
Registration opens March 14 and fee options vary by date. Early registration includes a T-shirt option and begins at $30; later registration increases, with higher fees offered closer to the event and on race day. Packet pickup takes place on race day at the start/finish pavilion.
Race results include accurate chip times, with live overall and age-group placings published. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Overall male and female winners receive a $25 runners gift certificate.
Proceeds from the event support the local cross country team to help cover the cost of their summer camps and local course upkeep. The event is organized as a timed running race over a distance of 5K and takes place in the public park areas of downtown Mount Pleasant.
