Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble 15K
The Mount Jumbo Elk Ramble 15K is an organized trail race produced by Run Wild Missoula on Mount Jumbo in Missoula, Montana. The in-person event follows an approximately 15K trail course on City Conservation & Open Space Lands in the North Zone of Mount Jumbo, with the start and finish at the Hellgate Soccer Fields.

The Mount Jumbo Wildlife Management Area closes to recreation on December 1, and the event traverses the elk herd wintering area. The in-person race is capped at 300 participants; the virtual event is capped at 35. Registration fees vary by date; the virtual entry fee is listed separately.
Course support includes multiple aid stations equipped with porta potties, water, and gels located near mile 1.75, mile 4, and mile 8.25. Event timing and participant items include chip timing, a custom bib, on-course aid, and a collectible Elk Ramble dog tag. Post-race provisions include a baked potato and cheddar roll provided by Texas Roadhouse.
Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in female, male, and non-binary categories, plus first place in standard age groups from 19 and under through 90 and above. The event benefits Five Valleys Land Trust, an organization that works to protect local river corridors, wildlife habitat, agricultural lands, and community open spaces.
