MSRC XC 5k Classic
MSRC XC 5k Classic takes place Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Verona Area High School, 234 Wildcat Way, Verona, WI. The event supports the Movin' Shoes Running Club Scholarship fund.
Races:
- 1.6-mile for ages 14 and under
- 5k open to all (ages 14 and under may also race the 5k)
Team competition uses five-runner teams with four scorers. A team captain may register all members or provide a password so members can register individually. Co-ed teams of five must include at least two females; scoring requires two female and two male finishers.
Registration fees:
- Ages 15 and older: $30 individual, $25 per individual as part of a team
- Ages 14 and under: $15 individual, $10 per individual as part of a team
Awards for the 1.6-mile race include first female, first male, first non-binary, and top teams. 5k awards are given by individual age groups for Female and Male (14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+) and a Non-binary Open category. Team awards include first Female Team, first Male Team, first Non-Binary Team, and first Co-Ed Team.
Course direction will include a lead vehicle and course marshals. Parking is available at the end of Wildcat Way. Post-race awards and raffles are held near the concession stand. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
