Moving Mountains 5K for Adoption
The Moving Mountains 5K for Adoption takes place on November 1, 2026 at Aberdeen Elementary School in Aberdeen, North Carolina. The event route is described as family-friendly and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages, including strollers and mobility devices.
One hundred percent of race profits go to the Faithful Bible Church Adoption and Orphan Care Fund. That fund supplies grants and scholarships for adopting families and the children they bring home. The event has a stated fundraising goal of $25,000 for the year.
Registration for the 5K is free; registration opens August 30, 2026 and closes October 30, 2026. Merchandise sales close October 2, 2026. T-shirts and hoodies purchased through merchandise sales can be picked up on October 25, 2026 at Aberdeen Elementary School or on the event date at the registration table. Fundraising methods listed for the event include donations, t-shirt and sweatshirt sales, and sponsorships of individual runners. Prizes will be awarded to top male and female performers in multiple age categories, and a grand prize is planned for the runner who raises the most sponsorship funds.
