Movement Day 2026, Hudson NY
Movement Day is the third annual community fitness and fundraising event supporting Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood. It takes place at Oakdale Beach in Hudson and gathers athletes and community members for a day of movement, connection, and fundraising for local children and families.
The program includes a variety of activities:
Yoga on the beach is offered as a one hour session led by Lava Yoga. Youth are welcome from age five and up. A sliding scale registration fee is listed between $20 and $30. Participants may bring their own yoga mat but this is not mandatory.
A team relay uses a 1-mile loop course. Teams of three run the loop and pass a baton after each lap. Participants must be 18 or older for the relay. A per person registration fee is listed at $25. Teams may choose to fundraise as part of their participation.
Cross training is run as a team fitness challenge for pairs. Teams must be 18 or older and a per person registration fee is listed at $50. The format consists of three back to back workouts with short breaks and about 60 minutes of floor time per team. Scoring includes reps for two events, a timed event, and fundraising totals. Up to 54 teams may participate and prizes will be awarded.
A virtual raffle offers tiered ticket packages and winners are selected through the raffle platform. Presence at the event is not required to win. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
