The Book it! race is a community sports event organized by the Claverack Free Library to support both the Claverack and Philmont public libraries. The event takes place in the Hudson (Churchtown) area of Columbia County, New York. Participants can choose between running or walking categories over the designated distance.
The course features a scenic route through the historic Claverack countryside. Individuals will pass active local farms and experience the rolling hills characteristic of the region. The event logistics are centered at the Churchtown Fire Company.

- 5 km (Walking)
Registration options are available for both adults and youth under the age of 18. The first 100 individuals to register receive a baseball-style cap. After the activity, the event provides local refreshments at the finish line, including locally sourced chocolate milk.
