Event Overview
The Move with MADD Fort Myers 5K is an annual fundraising and awareness event organized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Held at JetBlue Park at Fenway South, the event serves to raise funds to address impaired driving and promote road safety. Participants can choose between two main categories:
- 5K
- Dog 5K
Course and Amenities
The race begins in front of the team store at JetBlue Park and concludes at home plate. The route includes one water station, which participants pass twice during the event. Free parking is available for participants directly in front of the stadium. Because the parking area is located next to the start line, there is no dedicated gear check or storage for personal items.
Participation and Awards
All finishers receive a medal for completing the course. Participants who register by April 16th are also guaranteed an official event t-shirt; those registering after this date may receive remaining shirts on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Dog 5K is a specific timed category where dogs are eligible for awards. Treats are provided to the top three fastest canine participants. Packet pick-up and registration are available on the morning of the event at JetBlue Park. Participants may have another person pick up their race packet by presenting a picture of the registrant's ID or a QR code. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
