Move with MADD Denver Walk and 5K
Move with MADD Denver is Mothers Against Drunk Driving Colorado's signature fundraising event held at Sloan's Lake Park in Denver. Funds raised support victim services and prevention programming so families receive care at no charge, and the event aims to raise awareness and funds to end impaired driving.
The 2026 event adds a chip timed 5k with live results. Each timed participant receives an individual results page with official results, a pace breakdown, a finisher certificate, and a 20 second video of crossing the start and finish line. The event also includes in-person registration and an opening ceremony.
Participation categories and published fees include Adult Walker (untimed) $35, Official timed 5k race $55, Youth Walker $25, Youth Official timed 5k race $40, Dog $15, and Virtual Walker $35. Registrations received by July 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt; remaining shirts are distributed first-come, first-served.
Parking information notes limited handicap parking near Utica Street with volunteer guidance, various small parking lots around the park perimeter, and street parking on nearby streets except 17th Avenue which does not allow street parking and functions as a bike lane.
