Event overview
The Mountain to Meadow Half Marathon & 10k takes place on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Lolo, Montana. Both races start and finish at the Lolo Pass Visitor’s Center on the Idaho side of the pass, at an elevation of 5,233 feet. Distances offered:
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
- 10k - 6.2 miles
Course and race details
Both courses follow gravel Forest Service roads and natural trails through meadows and forests with views of the Bitterroot Mountains. The half marathon has about 1,500 feet of climbing over 13.1 miles, with most climbing in the first half. The 10k has about 300 feet of climbing and follows Packer Meadow nordic ski trails for 2.8 miles before joining the half marathon route. Aid stations stocked with water, electrolytes, and snacks are located at miles 4.2, 7.2, and 10.8 on the half; the 10k has an aid station at mile 2.8. The event is cupless. Participants receive a tank top, finisher medal, post-race BBQ (brats, salad; gluten free and vegetarian options noted) and chip timing. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall and to top male and female in each age group (0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); overall awards use gun time and age group awards use chip time. Parking at the Visitor’s Center is limited. Dogs are allowed on leash. Volunteers receive a $15 gift card, a tank top, and the post-race BBQ.
