Mountain Tiger Diablo
Mountain Tiger Diablo is a mountain running event held in Clayton, California, with a single loop course of approximately 12.4 miles that reaches the summit of Mount Diablo and returns to the start area at Mitchell Canyon.
The course is the most direct route to the summit with about 4,000 feet of climbing and 4,000 feet of descending. Runners leave the Mitchell Canyon visitor area, climb roughly 1,700 feet within the first 2.5 miles via Eagle Peak, and continue up Bald Ridge Trail to the summit. The return follows a steep descent of about 4,000 feet over 6 miles via Prospector's Gap and Back Creek Trail, finishing at Mitchell Canyon. The loop includes a short spur on Summit Trail.
Entry fee is $95 plus fees. Registration includes group shuttle service between an off-site parking area and the start/finish area, an entry to the post-race raffle, and a unique finisher's item. The event policy states no refunds and offers rollovers to 2027 entries until September 1. Registration closes on the date listed by the organizer.
