Mountain Tiger Diablo
Mountain Tiger Diablo is a trail race in Clayton, CA, that follows a direct route to the Mount Diablo summit and returns to the start. The course is a loop with a short spur on Summit Trail and covers 12.4 miles with roughly 4,000 feet of climbing and descending.
Runners start from the Mitchell Canyon visitor area and climb about 1,700 feet in the first 2.5 miles via Eagle Peak, then continue up Bald Ridge Trail to the summit. The return is a steep descent of approximately 4,000 feet over 6 miles using Prospector's Gap and Back Creek Trail, finishing back at Mitchell Canyon. The event enforces a 5 hour cutoff.
Entry fees change by date: $95 plus fees until August 31, increasing to $105 on September 1 and to $120 on October 1. Registration closes on October 7 at 11:59 PM PT. The entry fee includes a group shuttle from an off site parking area to the start and back after the race, an entry to the post race raffle, and a unique finisher item. The event policy states no refunds and allows 2027 rollovers until September 1.
