Mountain Ranger 7k/15k Run & 34k Mountain Bike Event
This event takes place in April 2026 at Camp Frank D. Merrill in Dahlonega, GA. It features trail running and mountain biking on forest roads, single track, and designated trails on the Ranger Camp property. An open house at the camp runs alongside the races and includes demonstrations and repelling; the open house is free and open to the public.
Race-day operations include on-site packet pickup only and race-day registration; registration closes shortly before each event. Government issued photo identification is required. All courses must be cleared by 10:45 for the Open House schedule; participants still on course at that time will be pulled. Parking and event logistics are managed by the organizer. Dogs are not allowed on site.
Course notes from the organizer:
- The 15k course is a loop using old forest service roads, rolling hills, and water crossings, with some single track near the finish.
- The 7k uses the Montgomery Creek trail and includes a waterfall.
- The 34k mountain bike course follows single track; in wet conditions the bike event may use a rain route consisting of two loops of the 15k route.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each event; no age group awards are offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
