Event overview
The Upstate Orthopedics Mountain Goat Run is the 48th annual running event in Syracuse, NY, scheduled for May 3, 2026. The event centres on a 10 Mile road race that follows a hilly course through Syracuse. The program also includes a two-person relay, a kids run, a virtual 10 mile option, SuperGoat / NannyGoat, a Family Pet Walk, Earth Day cleanup activities, and Hall of Fame recognition. The race will host the USATF Niagara 10 Mile Open and Masters Championships and is part of the USATF Niagara Runner Of The Year Series and Team Grand Prix Series.
Logistics and other details
Registration is online only; the lowest available price for the 10 Mile and two-person relay is listed at $55. Pet registration is available online for $10 and must be completed in advance. Packet pickup will be held at Fleet Feet Sports in East Syracuse and on race day in Clinton Square, Syracuse. A post-race party is planned at Meier's Creek Inner Harbor with live music, local beer, sponsor samples and recovery services. Awards include top finishers by gender and time bonus ribbons for specified finish-time thresholds. The title sponsor is Upstate Orthopedics.
