Mountain Goat Run in Syracuse
The Mountain Goat Run is an annual running event held in Syracuse with activities across April and May 2027 and a main race day on May 2, 2027. The event is based at Clinton Square and includes multiple race formats, family activities and a virtual option.
The program includes a mix of running and walking events and shorter youth races. Distances and formats offered include:
- 10 miles (10 Mile, Two Person Relay, Virtual 10 Mile)
- 880 yards (Kids Run)
- 1 mile (Hall of Fame Mile)
- family pet walk and other special entries
Entry fees vary by event, with several entries listed at $10 and main 10 mile entries at $55; a premium entry is listed at $750. Registration for many events opens May 3, 2026 and some registration periods close on May 5, 2026 or August 31, 2026.
On the main race day there is a post-race party and an awards presentation for the top three male and female finishers. For alcohol service at event functions, participants should bring a photo ID for age validation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
