Mount Aviat Academy 5K & Sister Walk : Childs, MD
The Mount Aviat Academy 5K & Sister Walk is a community running event held at Mount Aviat Academy in Childs, Maryland. The program includes a 5K run/walk plus a Sister Walk. The course start and finish are located in front of Valhalla Brewery on Cherry Hill Road in Elkton, and a course map is provided by the organizer.
Registration options include pre-registration pricing which includes a race t-shirt: $30 per person or $100 for a family four-pack. T-shirts are not guaranteed after 3/20/26. Day-of registration is listed at $35 per person and does not include a t-shirt. Additional shirts are available online for $10 during the pre-registration period.
Packet pickup and the awards ceremony are held in the school gym; packet pickup is available on race day at the school. Parking is available at the Mount Aviat Academy school lot and at the Elkton Moose Lodge near the start line. Bathrooms are in the school gym and at the Moose Lodge. Water stations are located at the start/finish area and near the middle of the course on Avalon Avenue.
Awards include overall male and female trophies and first, second, and third place for multiple age groups. Race proceeds support development of a school playscape.
