The Mount Aviat Academy 5K & Sister Walk is the 13th annual 5K run/walk held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Childs, Maryland. The event is professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing. Registration and fees
Pre-registration includes a race t-shirt. Pre-registration pricing is listed as $30 per person or $100 for a family 4-pack. T-shirts are not guaranteed after 3/14/25. Day-of registration is listed as $35 per person and does not include a t-shirt. Additional shirts can be purchased online for $10 during the pre-registration period. Registration opens February 5, 2026.
Logistics and awards
Packet pickup and the awards ceremony are held in the school gym. Parking is available in the school lot and at the Elkton Moose Lodge near the start area; the organizer recommends parking at the school and carpooling to the Moose Lodge due to limited space. Bathrooms are in the school gym and at the Moose Lodge. Water stations are located at the start/finish and near the middle of the course on Avalon Ave. Race proceeds will fund replacement gym pads. Awards include overall male and female trophies and 1st through 3rd place in age groups: 6 & under, 7-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-79; an awards ceremony with refreshments and a raffle follows the race.
