Mount Archer Trail Race : Lyme, Connecticut
The Mount Archer Trail Race is a trail running event held in Lyme, Connecticut at 478 Hamburg Road. The event offers two measured loop races over natural trails on and around Mount Archer. Registration is available online only up to and including race day.
Distances
- The Moore Trail, 9.2 miles, George and Rosemary Moore Trail Loop, counterclockwise
- The Sprint, 3 miles, loop on the northern side of Mount Archer
Both races are chip timed with instant results and will proceed rain or shine. Walkers and hikers are allowed in the 3 mile race; they must register and start on time behind runners. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers for each distance and to the top two male and female finishers in each age group: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
Event amenities include hydration stations on course and at the finish, free parking, friendly volunteers, and post-race food and drinks. A race T-shirt is provided for the first 160 participants; registration by April 17 is noted to guarantee a shirt. All net proceeds from the event are donated to the Lyme Fire Department and the Lyme Ambulance Association, LLC. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
