Event overview
The Mount Archer Trail Race takes place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Lyme, Connecticut. This is the second annual running of the event. The main venue address is 478 Hamburg Road, Lyme, CT 06371. The 9.2-mile event is part of the USATF-CT Mountain/Trail/Ultra Series.
Course and entries
The event offers two loop courses:
- 9.2 miles - Moore Trail, full George and Rosemary Moore Trail Loop, run counterclockwise, with trails on both the north and south sides of Mount Archer Road.
- 3 miles - Sprint, a loop on the northern side of Mount Archer.
Registration is available online up to and including race day. Walkers and hikers may participate in the 3-mile race but must register and will start behind runners. The first 160 registrants receive a race T-shirt; registering by April 17 guarantees a shirt. Free parking and volunteers are provided.
Timing, awards and support
Both races are chip timed with instant results. Hydration stations are provided on course and at the finish. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance, and to the top two male and female finishers in the listed age groups (12 & under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; 80+). One hundred percent of event proceeds will be donated to the Lyme Fire Department and the Lyme Ambulance Association, LLC. The event runs rain or shine.
