Event overview
The 2026 Sport Chek Mother's Day Run, Walk & Wheel takes place on Sunday, May 10, 2026 in Calgary at CF Chinook Centre / 6455 Macleod Trail Southwest. The event is organized by Sport Chek and Run Calgary. There is no virtual option. The event supports two charities: Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and the Calgary Health Foundation.
Format, inclusions and policies
The event offers a road route that will be closed to traffic and will include aid stations, food and drink, and a post-race area. Runners will receive chipped timing. Registration-related inclusions listed for most participants are a 2026 swag bag, a finisher medal, a personalized bib (if registered before April 26), and an exclusive promotional offer from Sport Chek. Green Bib participants do not receive the swag bag or finisher medal.
Children aged 5 and under register for free. Children participating in the 5 km course or walking that course must still register and sign a waiver. Family pricing applies when three or more participants are registered together; a 10% discount is applied at checkout.
All entry fees are non-refundable. Prices include processing fees; 5% GST is charged in addition to the listed race entry fee. Distance transfers are allowed - online until April 26, 2026, and in-person at package pick-up from April 27, 2026 onward; transfers cannot be completed on race day. Upgrading a distance requires payment of the fee difference plus GST; downgrading has no charge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
