Mother's Day Run - Shreveport
The OneMindset Corporation Mother's Day Run is a multi-race wellness event held at Festival Plaza in Shreveport, Louisiana. This event is integrated with the Louisiana Stuffed Shrimp Festival, and participants receive several amenities with their registration. Registered individuals are provided with an official event t-shirt, one meal, access to the OneMindset App, and entry into the festival via a special race ticket.
The following distance options are available:
- 5k (3.1 miles): A chip-timed competitive race.
- 1/2 Mile Kids Fun Run: An untimed running event for children.
- 1/2 Mile Stroller Race: An untimed event specifically for participants with strollers.
- Legacy Lounger: A non-running category where participants receive the event amenities without participating in a race.
The 5k event includes an awards ceremony for the first place overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are presented to the first, second, and third place finishers in various age groups, ranging from 14-under to 70+.
A portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to community organizations and initiatives. These include The R. Tammy Lupus Foundation, Booker T. Washington High School, and the Women Entrepreneur Grant Program, which provides funding to help a woman launch or expand a business. Packet pick up is available on specific dates leading up to the race at Sportspectrum and at the race site on the morning of the event.
