About the race
The Mother's Day Classic in Shepparton is a community walk and run at Victoria Park Lake. The event village and registration are located at the northern end of the lake. Registrations for this event have closed.
Courses use sealed paths and are described as flat. Distances offered include:
- 8 km
- 4 km
- 2 km
The 2 km and 4 km routes loop around Victoria Park Lake. The 8 km route extends beyond the lake and follows the Yanha Gurtji River on sealed pathways before returning to the start. The course is pram and wheelchair friendly and provides scenic river views.
Facilities and event details include ample parking around the lake at SAM, Aquamoves, and near the Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club; toilets available on course; and a coffee van on site. Participants are advised to bring their own water. There is no official run timing on event day. Dogs are allowed in all areas, including the course, and must be on leash.
