Mother's Day Classic - Perth
The event is staged at Charles Paterson Park in Boorloo and supports breast and ovarian cancer research. Registrations for this event have closed.
Participants can choose between walking and running courses of 5 km and 10 km. Embrace & Honour walk waves include an invitation to observe a minute of silence at the start line to honour those touched by breast or ovarian cancer.
The course follows the foreshore with different turnaround points for the 5 km and 10 km options, crosses the Boorloo Bridge, continues along the foreshore, then loops back over the Matagarup Bridge to finish at Charles Paterson Park.
Onsite facilities include a baggage storage area, cashless payments via EFTPOS Air, water refill stations and food and coffee vendors such as Cafe Oranje and Who Gives a Crepe. Medal engraving is available on site though engraving may attract significant wait times and the team may not be able to complete all requests.
Event amenities include an Event Village with entertainment, a Kids Zone featuring face painting and games, and a raffle with partner giveaways. The course and village are wheelchair and pram friendly. Dogs are not permitted. Parking is available in and around Burswood Park with additional options within walking distance, and nearby train stations provide public transport access.
