Mother's Day Classic - Bairnsdale
The Mother's Day Classic at Howitt Park in Bairnsdale, VIC is a community walk and run supporting breast and ovarian cancer research. Registrations for this event have closed.
The event uses mostly flat, scenic shared paths along the Mitchell River suitable for walkers, runners, prams, and wheelchairs. The 10 km course follows the riverside from Howitt Park across Lind Bridge toward Picnic Point and returns to the start. The 5 km course follows the riverside from Howitt Park to the Lind Bridge/Wy Yung Football oval and returns to the start. There is no official run timing on event day.
Key onsite features include check in/registration adjacent to the start line under the pink marquee, parking at Howitt Park, accessible parking and toilets, a coffee van, and toilets at the Howitt Park playground. Participants are asked to bring their own water bottle. Dogs are allowed in all areas, including the course, when kept on a leash.
