Mother's Day Beauchamp 10K, 5K and Keiki Runs
The event is held at Moanalua Community Park with routes that use the adjacent Moanalua Gardens and parts of Moanalua Valley. The races are officially timed this year and include the following distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 mile Keiki Run
The 5K and 10K start at the Community Park, enter Moanalua Gardens to loop among the monkeypod trees, then follow a bikepath beside the freeway. The 5K turns around at the end of that bikepath and returns to finish in Moanalua Gardens. The 10K continues about 1.5 miles into Moanalua Valley, turns at Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park, and returns along a gentle downhill to finish in the gardens. The Keiki Run is a loop inside the grassy areas of Moanalua Gardens.
All mothers receive a finisher rose. Post-run refreshments are provided in the gardens and race registration includes an all-day pass to Moanalua Gardens. Restrooms are available at Moanalua Community Park, in Moanalua Gardens, and on the 10K course at Moanalua Valley Neighborhood Park.
Strollers are permitted; most surfaces are smooth pavement but portions of the bikepath are bumpy and the gardens loop is on grass. Early packet pick up is scheduled for May 9, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Runners HI Pearl Kai in Aiea, with additional packet pick up on race morning beginning at 5:30 a.m.
Awards are planned for top overall finishers and 5-year age groups. Mother/child team scoring uses combined times and the second team member receives a discounted fee. Results will be posted online in near real time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
