17th Annual Mother's Day 5K - Women's Fund SouthCoast

The Women's Fund SouthCoast presents the 17th Annual Mother's Day 5K Walk and Run in New Bedford at Cisco Brewers on Sunday, May 9. The event brings together more than 1,000 runners, walkers, families, and community members for a community celebration that supports women, families, and gender equity across the SouthCoast.

The event includes options to run or walk, form a team, volunteer, sponsor, or donate. A kids dash is offered in addition to the main 5K. Team creation and fundraising tools are available during registration, which opens in early October 2026.

Proceeds from the Mother's Day 5K fund the Women's Fund SouthCoast's work to advance gender, racial, and economic justice through research, grantmaking, and advocacy in the region. The organization has set a fundraising goal of $125,000 for this year’s event. Volunteers support race day operations, and a suggested donation amount of $25 is noted as one way to support the cause for those who cannot attend in person.
