Mother Lover 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run
The Mother Lover 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run is an annual event held at The Market at Rutland Farms in Tifton, Georgia. This event takes place on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend and features an off-road course through the countryside. The terrain consists of farm trails; while strollers are permitted, jogging strollers are recommended due to the ground conditions.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km
- 1 mile
The 5 km course includes several stations where participants aged 21 and older can sample local wines and treats from the farm bakery. This distance is designed for a relaxed pace rather than high-speed competition. For those opting for the 1 mile Fun Run, also referred to as a Cake Walk, the course features taste-testing stations with various homemade cakes fresh from the bakery.
Registration options include individual entries, group registrations for teams of three or more, and a "Double Trouble" package for those wishing to complete both distances. Participants who register by May 1st are guaranteed a short-sleeved t-shirt. Awards are presented to the top two finishers in both the 5 km and the 1 mile races.
