Event overview
The Matchmakers & Mimosas 5K takes place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Horse Creek Winery, 101 Rountree Brg Rd, Sparks, GA 31647. The event includes a 5K, a Virtual 5K, and a Sip & Stroll division. The Sip & Stroll offers the same race swag and finish items with no requirement to run; juice and water will be available for participants under 21. Virtual participants may run where they choose, submit their time by the end of Race Day, and receive a shipped virtual package the Monday after the event (shipping within the continental US).
Course, timing, registration and policies
The course runs in and around the vineyards and uses grass and cross-country style terrain. Chip timing will be used for the start and finish. Water stations are planned approximately every 1.5 miles. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal and a mimosa; awards are given to top finishers overall, in masters categories (40+, 50+, 60+), and top 3 in five-year age groups from 10 & under through 80+. Regular registration through 01/24 is listed at $35 for the 5K and virtual races, with higher fees for late and race-day registration. Participants registered by 01/22 are guaranteed race swag in their size; afterwards swag is while supplies last. All registrations are final; there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments. Packet pickup is held on race morning starting one hour prior to the race. Volunteers may qualify for a $50 Visa gift card under the event volunteer program.
