Mossley 10K - 19 July 2026
The Mossley 10K is a measured road race held in Mossley with the start and finish at Mossley AFC's Seel Park ground. The course is undulating and passes through Upper Mossley, around Lower Mossley and Greenfield, with views of the countryside around Mossley and Saddleworth. Spectators have grandstand views and the finish is described as a grandstand finish at Seel Park.
The course has been accurately measured to 10 kilometres (6:21 miles). CHIP TIMING records results for all runners while trophy positions are decided on gun time. All finishers receive an official Mossley 10K medal and a goodie bag. Presentations for trophies take place in the clubhouse after the race.
Trophies are awarded in the main open age race and in Over 45, Over 55 and Over 65 categories, for both men and women. The event attracts a mix of club-class competitors, social runners and charity fundraisers.
Entry fees are listed as £20 for unaffiliated runners and £18 for UK Athletics affiliated members. All runners must be 15 years old or over. A race T-shirt is available for £15. To qualify for the affiliated fee, runners must be registered members of a running club affiliated to UK Athletics and must provide their club name and UKA registration number on entry. Membership of other groups, such as a gym or fitness centre, does not count for the affiliated fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
