Course and logistics

Both routes run in Mortimer Forest on the Herefordshire/Shropshire border and use Forestry England land plus permissive paths through Monstay. The 10 mile route includes the Big Dippers and a climb to the top of High Vinnalls, with a downhill finish and views across the Welsh Marches, including the Malvern Hills and Brecon Beacons. The 4 mile route omits the Big Dippers but still includes a climb of High Vinnalls and a descent. Expect multi-terrain conditions with mud, hills and forest trails.

The course will be marshalled and signed. The 10 mile route includes two road crossings; these crossings are marshalled. Race HQ and parking are at Moor Park School; parking is limited. Dogs are not allowed. The event supports Friends of Mortimer Forest and Herefordshire Wildlife Trust and is permitted by The Association of Running Clubs (permit ARC/25/0685).
