Mortimer Forest Trail Race

Mortimer Forest Trail Race, organized by Ludlow Runners, takes place in the Mortimer Forest on the Herefordshire–Shropshire border. The event offers a 10-mile-ish multi-terrain course and a 4-mile option, both starting near Moor Park School in Ludlow. Expect mud, hills, and superb forest trails, with a steep climb up High Vinnalls and a fast, rewarding descent offering views across the Welsh Marches to the Malvern Hills and Brecon Beacons.

The 10-mile route features the infamous Big Dippers. The course is marshalled and signed, with paid, limited-edition medallions and charitable support for Friends of Mortimer Forest and Herefordshire Wildlife Trust. No dogs; parking is limited.
