Morris Superhero Run - April 11, 2026

The Morris Superhero Run is an annual community event in downtown Morris, IL, featuring multiple short-distance events and a virtual option. The event includes a certified 5K route and a shorter 1K fun run suitable for children and participants using adaptive bikes, strollers, or wheelchairs. All races start and finish in downtown Morris.

The event is organized as a family-friendly run/walk where participants may wear superhero costumes. Race activity is followed by awards and a Superhero Celebration. For 2026, proceeds are designated for The Heart of a Hero Award scholarship, which recognizes students who demonstrate empathy, acceptance, everyday kindness, and other qualities of good character. A scholarship was created to honor those values and to support young leaders in the community.

The 1K course is mostly paved and described as accessible for a range of abilities. The 5K course is certified. To comply with local rules and for safety, only service animals are permitted on the race course and in the downtown area; pets are not allowed.
