Event overview
The Morning After Fell Race is scheduled for Thursday 1 January 2026 in Church Stretton. The course uses the route retained from the 2025 edition and is a varied 8 km circuit. The route passes Rectory Woods, Carding Mill Valley and the northern part of the Long Mynd. The course is fully marked and is described as suitable for runners who are new to fell running as well as experienced fell runners. The event is a fell race only; there is no separate event for walkers.
Practical information
The event base is Church Stretton Scout Hut, Church Street, Church Stretton, SY6 6DQ. Entry opens on 22 October 2025 and closes on 28 December 2025. The minimum age to enter is 16 on the event date. The entry fee is £8.00 and includes soup and a roll. Prizes will be awarded after the race in the following categories: male and female U18, U23, senior, V40, V50, V60, V70 and first local runner (Church Stretton, All Stretton, Little Stretton and Hope Bowdler). Public car parking is available in Church Stretton (SY6 6BX); entrants are asked to park responsibly and car share where possible. Limited entries will also be available on the day.
