Morning After Fell Race (1 January 2026)

The Morning After Fell Race takes place on 1 January 2026 and is organised by Mercia Fell Runners. The event is a fell race only, with a single, fully marked circuit of 8 km and a total ascent of 274 m. The course uses Rectory Woods, Carding Mill Valley and the northern part of the Long Mynd. The route is retained from the 2025 edition and is described as suitable for runners new to fell running while also being appropriate for experienced fell runners.

Entry, location and other details

Registration is at Church Stretton Scout Hut, Church Street, Church Stretton, SY6 6DQ. Pre-entry fee is £8 and on-the-day entry is £10. Entries open 22 October 2025 and close 28 December 2025; limited entries will also be available on the day. Entries so far are listed as 59 participants. Public car parking is available in Church Stretton (SY6 6BX) and participants are asked to park responsibly. Prizes will be awarded by category: M/W U18, U23, Senior, V40, V50, V60, V70 and first local runner (Church Stretton, All Stretton, Little Stretton and Hope Bowdler).
