Morgan Hill Trail Races

Event Information
The Morgan Hill Trail Races are held in Morgan Hill State Forest near Fabius, New York. The event takes place in late September. Camping is available at the start/finish area.
Distances
The event offers three race options:
- Marathon: Approximately 26.2 miles with about 4,291 feet of elevation change.
- Half Marathon: Approximately 13.4 miles with about 2,329 feet of elevation change.
- Half Marathon Hike: Distance is the same as the Half Marathon.
All events have an 8-hour cutoff time. The courses are primarily single-track trails, including sections of the Onondaga Trail and mountain bike trails. The marathon course includes an additional loop called Fellows Hill.
Course Details
The trails pass by ponds, waterfalls, and vistas, and pass the highest point in Onondaga County. The marathon route passes a historical gravestone from the 1700s. Online course maps are provided for both the Half Marathon and Marathon.
Aid Stations
Aid stations offer water, Skratch sports drink, ice (if temperatures warrant), orange slices, bananas, pickles, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, pretzels, Oreos, and candy. The Half Marathon has two aid stations plus the start/finish, while the Marathon has four aid stations plus the start/finish.
Participant Perks & Policies
All runners receive a pair of socks from the organizer. Prizes are awarded to top finishers in each distance and gender division. The event is Trail Sisters approved and a UTMB Index race. No refunds are granted. Deferrals are available for pregnancy, injury, or for volunteering if slots are open. Distance changes are permitted until online registration closes.
