Morgan Hill Trail Races, Morgan Hill State Forest (Fabius, NY)
Morgan Hill Trail Races are held within Morgan Hill State Forest. Camping is available at the forest. The event includes a half marathon, a full marathon, and a half marathon hike.
Courses follow nearly all single track sections of the Onondaga Trail and use mountain bike trails in places. Runners pass ponds, vistas, waterfalls, and the highest point in Onondaga County. The marathon course adds the Fellows Hill loop and an out and back section on the Onondaga Trail to Route 13. One section crosses near an old gravestone noted on the course.
The race runs concurrently with the Hill to Hollow 100 km and 100 km relay. It is Trail Sisters approved and listed on the UTMB Index. All entrants receive SCTR socks and prizes are awarded to top finishers by gender division.
Aid station service differs by distance. Stations may offer ice if temperatures merit, water, Skratch, orange slices, bananas, pickles, PB&Js, potato chips, pretzels, Oreos, and candy. The event lists specific aid station locations and mile marks for each course. Refunds are not granted. Deferrals are allowed for pregnancy, injury, or switching to a volunteer role if slots remain. Distance changes are permitted until online registration closes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
