Morecambe 10K and 5k - 6 June 2027
This is a seaside road race organised by Lancaster Runners on Station Promenade, Morecambe (LA4 4DB), opposite the Midland Hotel. The event offers two measured distances and carries UKA Licence number 31360.
- 10 km
- 5 km (runs alongside the 10 km towards Heysham and returns via the RNLI station loop to about 2.9 miles)
Both races start and finish on the Promenade and follow a course that runs along the bay. The 5 km course follows the 10 km route outwards before completing a loop near the RNLI station and turning into the finish.
All finishers receive a medal. Prize places are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers; a first veteran prize is awarded in each category depending on entry numbers. Recorded course best times are 31:55 for the male record (2024) and 39:32 for the female record.
Entry options include online and on-the-day registration. Online fees for the 5 km are listed as affiliated £10, unaffiliated £12, and Lancaster Runners Club £8; for the 10 km affiliated £24, unaffiliated £25, and Lancaster Runners Club £19. Some online portals may add a small fee. On-the-day entry is cash only with higher rates. The event operates a no refunds, swaps, or deferrals policy.
