Morecambe 10k & 5k : 6 June 2027
This event, organised by Lancaster Runners, takes place on Station Promenade LA4 4DB, opposite the Midland Hotel, and holds UKA Licence number 31360. It offers two measured distances on a seaside course that starts and finishes on the promenade and provides views across the Bay.
The race distances are:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The 10 km course runs along the promenade and is described as attracting both newer runners and those aiming for personal bests. The 5 km follows the same initial route toward Heysham, returns around the RNLI station loop (to about 2.9 miles) and then turns into the finish.
All finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers. There is also a prize for the first veteran in each category, subject to sufficient entries. Recorded course best times are 31:55 for the male record (2024) and 39:32 for the female record.
Entry pricing is published for online and on-the-day entry. Online fees differ by affiliation status and club membership; some online portals may add a small fee.
